INGDA is an online program of the Clarksville Community School Corporation and offers full-time enrollment for grades K–12.

English/language arts, math, science, and history are core courses. There are also other courses in the appropriate grade levels, such as art, health/PE, music, and world languages. High school can choose from a variety of electives, and they can take career-focused courses through our career and college prep program.

Art and music lessons begin online, and like many of our courses, the students participate in interactive and age-appropriate, hands-on activities. In elementary grades, students are shipped materials* or use household items to complete projects.

Yes, we provide the textbooks and instructional materials. These materials are sent to students directly* and are dependent on the student’s grade level and their specific courses. High school students receive fewer materials than elementary and middle school students.

Elementary, middle, and high school students complete lessons in synchronous and asynchronous sessions and are expected to complete quizzes, tests, and other assignments in a timely manner. The specific schedule depends on the students’ personalized learning plan and Class Connect schedule. Class Connect sessions take place at designated times during the week.

We expect that students will spend no more than 15 to 30% of their school time on the computer in grades K–5, 50 to 70% in middle school, and nearly their entire school day in high school. Time online is spent working on asynchronous lessons, working in Class Connects with teachers synchronously, and collaborating with peers in engaging assignments and projects. We believe in a balanced approach toward education. Computers help us provide you with effective assessment, planning, and time-management tools. Computers also act as powerful teaching tools that can motivate, stimulate, and inform children about the world around them. They help facilitate a solid education; they do not replace one. That’s why we use a unique multimedia approach that includes traditional books, workbooks, and instructional materials.*

The beauty of our program is that it is flexible enough to meet children where they are in any given subject and take them where they want to go. Grade placement assessments, completed as part of the enrollment process, allow us to place your student in the appropriate level of curriculum. So, for example, if your fourth grader is doing math on a sixth-grade level and reading on a fourth-grade level, we can tailor lesson plans to meet your student’s abilities.

Throughout the year, students will be invited to participate in school outings, field trips (e.g., to historical sites, museums, zoos), picnics, and other social events. Local students and parents can get together on a regular basis in their areas. Students can also take advantage of a wide variety of school-based and K12 national online clubs where they can connect with students with like interests and passions.

Yes. As an online public school program of Clarksville Community School Corporation, students can earn a diploma through INGDA based on successful completion and mastery of course content as well as exams and state assessments.

Typically, there are no home visits as part of the program, and it is highly unusual for staff to visit the home. If an in-person meeting is necessary, meetings are set up at a public venue.
