Making Connections: Opportunities to Build Friendships Here at INGDA

On the eighth day of June, we celebrate National Best Friends Day! This holiday celebrates creating friendships and forming bonds. Here at Indiana Gateway Digital Academy (INGDA), we’ve created opportunities that encourage our students to connect with one another within the virtual school environment. Here are just a few of the ways that you can find your next BFF here at INGDA! 

K12 Zone 

Want to socialize with your friends while at home? Try out the K12 Zone! This online campus is an enriching platform for students to play games and get to know their classmates. This virtual world is moderated to monitor student safety and is free to access for INGDA students. 

Clubs + Activities 

We offer several fun clubs for INGDA students to share their hobbies with like-minded peers. From our Dragon Leaders  Club that is a creative way to grow your confidence and leadership skills in a group setting, to the Spanish Club to work on learning a new language together, there are many opportunities for both the middle school and high school grades to connect. Online + In-Person Events 

Ready to explore the world? INGDA students can join their friends during the K12 Virtual Field Trips! Throughout the school year, there are educational and entertainment field trips to cater to all interests. Check out the upcoming events calendar to register for the next field trip. 

And for students who enjoy in-person activities, we also have that covered. INGDA frequently hosts events that are open to students from all corners of the state.  

In February 2026, multiple students and staff members participated in a Capitol Day event where they made letters to legislators to advocate for school choice.
